Ideal Teacher Profile

At Poly, classrooms move quickly, and our students read, debate, and analyze at an exceptional level. While many of our teachers come from the U.S. and Canada, we welcome all qualified educators with experience in the North American curriculum.

Passion for Reading

Deeply knowledgeable about texts, able to model reading and guide gifted students in critical analysis

Strong Communicator

Confident in leading discussions, asking open-ended questions, and communicating complex concepts

Adaptive Leader

Thrives in a fast-paced classroom, balancing student needs with rigorous expectations

Key Considerations

  • This is a fast-paced, high-intensity learning environment. Teachers are expected to maintain strong momentum in the classroom. Staying organized and managing time well are essential, as the workload can be substantial throughout the semester.

  • Curriculum updates and new initiatives from Poly headquarters may occasionally be introduced with limited lead time. Teachers who are adaptable, solution-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic setting thrive and grow in Poly.

  • There is a strong emphasis on keeping pace with instructional benchmarks. While kindergarten classrooms allow for some flexibility in pacing, elementary grades follow a more structured schedule to ensure curriculum objectives are met.
