MICA’s primary curriculum emphasizes foundational skills across key disciplines.

We follow the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in conjunction with the MyView Literacy program, which fosters reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Students engage in workshops where they reflect on reading and writing strategies using mentor texts.
Our Math in Focus program, based on CCSS, fosters deep mathematical understanding through real-world applications and a problem-based approach.
We use the Elevate Science program, aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), to integrate S.T.E.M. skills and cover Life, Earth and Physical Sciences.
The Harcourt Social Studies program, aligned with the National Council for Social Studies (NCSS), helps students connect historical and social concepts to the modern world through analytical activities and discussions.
Our specialty classes in Art, Music, PE, Korean, Chinese, and IT complement the core curriculum, providing comprehensive education that equips students for the future.

Our school provides American curriculum focused on 21st-century skills, project-based learning, and real-world challenges. Students engage in active learning through classroom and field experiences, supported by 1:1 college counseling. Honors classes begin in grade 8, with AP courses available from grade 9. Core subjects are complemented by a range of electives and co-curricular activities to foster student interests.

Teachers are encouraged to participate in extracurriculars and school events, such as coaching teams, to support students and strengthen ties within the school community.

MICA’s current campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-sized gym, art and music rooms, a library, and outdoor play areas. Our cafeteria offers an organic menu designed by a nutritionist to provide healthy meals for students and staff. Surrounded by a scenic mountain and lake backdrop, the campus is situated in a peaceful area with breathtaking views.

Migeum station is incredibly well-developed and has a lot of essential businesses available right near the station for your convenience. Everything you need is within a 15-minute radius of the station which is extremely convenient as the studio housing provided by MICA is also located near Migeum station. 

The location is well-connected to Seoul and is within a 20-minute subway ride to Gangnam. Beyond the station, the Bundang area offers a wealth of amenities and attractions. Bundang is the largest district in Seongnam and is one of the most well-developed and dynamic regions in Korea.

Introducing Yongin City

 

Yongin is a city located in the Gyeonggi-do province of South Korea known for its scenic landscapes and outdoor attractions. Yongin boasts excellent connectivity to major cities like Seoul, making it convenient for day trips and weekend getaways. Yongin is home to major amusement and water parks, including Everland Resort and Caribbean Bay, as well as beautiful parks and hiking trails, such as the popular Gwanggyosan Mountain.
