Saint Paul American Scholars is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of a Middle School Science Teacher for upcoming openings in the 2025-2027 school year! 

The initial contract for this role begins on July 24th, 2025 and ends on August 14th, 2027. We will be starting interviews as we receive candidates either virtually, on GoogleMeet, with the School Principal and General Manager, or, preferably, in person. We will close the position once it is filled.

Responsibilities Overview

• Follow the format and expectations provided by SPAS to create a syllabus, unit plans, rubrics, and weekly lesson plans for students
• Plan regular and consistent homework assignments and provide feedback/corrections
• Create tests and projects to measure and ensure student learning
• Prepare progress reports and report cards at the end of each term
• Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings
• Take part in PTCs (Parent-Teacher Conferences) and speak/discuss with parents regarding their children
• Attend official SPAS functions as outlined on the calendar 

Requirements

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Education or degrees related to education
• Hold an F-4 or other F visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship, or Korean citizenship
• Apostilled Diploma, Criminal Background Check, and work-related documents
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in education at interational programs or other school settings

• 3 letters of recommendation - one must be your most recent/current employer

• Student Age: Elementary School

• Ending Date: August 14th, 2027
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:40 A.M. - 4:40 P.M. (-4:50 P.M. once a week for staff meetings)

The science department of SPAS Ansan is growing rapidly, and to meet the needs of the students’ abilities, and to provide a full range of science offerings, SPAS is seeking dynamic science teachers to join our team. The SPAS Ansan science offerings range from general Grade 6 science to Grade 8. A well-qualified candidate will have experience with higher level science in their education and/or their teaching experience; a strong candidate will have experience at both the middle school and high school level.
