Job Description
We are searching for an energetic social studies and history teacher. The social studies teacher’s responsibilities include teaching elements of history, geography, politics, economics, religion, and culture to pupils. You should keep up to date on current events and initiate spirited, respectful debates among students.
To be successful as a social studies teacher, you should demonstrate passion and commitment to your discipline. Outstanding candidates are able to multitask, source appropriate learning material, and also present their opinion to the class without making any student feel threatened for holding a different view.
Key Responsibilities
• Setting up schedules, lesson plans, and selecting learning materials and resources that will help achieve curriculum objectives.
• Analyzing the needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses of students, and developing lesson plans in accordance with these factors.
• Monitoring progress and discipline, and keeping parents and school counselors informed of learners who need extra support.
• Establishing classroom and debating rules, and ensuring all students follow these rules.
• Participating in school events and acting as a chaperone when required.
• Attending meetings, staff training, conferences, and other ongoing learning programs.
Qualifications
• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• Hold an F4 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship or Korean citizenship
• F-Visa Holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
Working Conditions
• Student Type: Elementary to High School (Teaching grades differ depending on position)
• Curriculum: Provided by the school
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Hours differ depending on the school
• Professional Development: Provided throughout each semester
Salary
Negotiable based on education and experience

• Severance Pay: Paid upon the completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)
• Vacation: Average of 4-8 weeks per year
