ILSAN Part Time English Teacher WANTED! (Please read description!)
We are looking for a part-time English teacher (F-4, F-2 Visa / Korean National) with at least 1-2 years of experience teaching English. This position will start at the end of August. THIS IS NOT A VISA-SPONSORED POSITION! Join Our Team at Wisepen Language Institute Founded in 2024, we are a growing English academy dedicated to providing English education to Korean students. We emphasize reading and critical thinking skills, academic writing, and grammar. Job Summary Location: 562 Ilsan-ro, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, 4th floor of Shinilsan Union Shopping Center Start Date: August 25, 2025 (Winter Term) Working Hours: Tuesday + Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 (Subject to change) Pay: 25,000 won - 30,000 won per hour, negotiable depending on experience Age Group: Elementary grade 3 - 6 Teaching Hours: 6 - 12 hours/week (more hours may be added throughout the term) Housing: No allowance provided Vacation: No paid vacation provided. We DO have classes on RED DAYS. However, there will be unpaid vacations at set times throughout the year that are one week each. Preference: Education / English major (not mandatory) Position Overview Teach students from Grade 3 to Grade 6 reading comprehension and academic writing Classes will consist of fewer than 10 students Must THOROUGHLY PREPARE for each class and grade tests and writing assignments Must take this position seriously and be friendly with kids May have to briefly speak with parents if they are curious about their child's performance Working Hours Tue/Thu: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Subject to change) Approx. 6 - 12 teaching hours per week (As the term progresses, there may be more opportunities to get more classes and hours) Salary 25,000 - 30,000 won per hour (3.3% tax) (Varies on experience) Start Date Aug. 25, 2025 Training and orientation will be given beforehand Location 562 Ilsan-ro, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, 4th floor of Shinilsan Union Shopping Center About a 3 -5-minute walk from Ilsan Station Because this is a part-time position, no housing allowance/benefits or severance, and we do have classes on red days. However, we will take one week off in July and in December (unpaid), as well as one week off during the week of Chuseok and Lunar New Year (unpaid). Therefore, there will be a total of 4 weeks off throughout the entire year.
