Welcome to Twin.kle English Korea!

Twin.kle English was born from the shared vision my twin brother Andrew and I have for making learning fun and engaging. Growing up in New Jersey, I studied English Literature, and I’ve always felt passionate about sharing the magic of reading with students. I'm also the founder of Turtleship Books, where we design high-quality English textbooks for elementary learners, used in all of our campuses.

Our goal is to transform the traditional lecture-based approach in Korea and create an engaging, dynamic, and thought-provoking educational experience. That’s why we’ve designed an American-based curriculum that encourages students to think independently, ask questions, and make meaningful discoveries. Since our classes are fully immersive and discussion-based, we admit students who already have a solid foundation in English. Many of our graduates go on to study at top universities abroad.

Twin.kle English Korea - Filling Minds with Wonder

Reading & Discussion-based Learning

Twin.kle offers a curriculum that alternates between fiction and non-fiction classes, where students read texts on subjects like history and science. After each reading, they engage in meaningful discussions, reflecting on the material, sharing opinions, and connecting it to their own lives. With a maximum of 8 students per class, personalized 1:1 feedback ensures each student gets the support they need to succeed. Using the Harkness Method, a discussion-based approach, students actively engage in discussions, building critical thinking and confidence to express their thoughts in English.

In-house American Curriculum

Unlike American textbooks, which are often created by staff who aren’t familiar with the needs of Korean students, Twinkle’s in-house books are developed by the teachers who work directly with them. We’ve streamlined the content through our publishing company, Turtleship Books.

Campuses We have 7 campuses located in major cities and regional hubs: Gangnam, Bundang, Mokdong, Songdo, Ilsan, Mapo, and Busan. In addition, we offer kindergarten programs at select campuses, along with an exclusive campus, Twin.kle Little Star English, and an online platform, Twin.kle U.

Our Curriculum and Programs

Our curriculum integrates both fiction and non-fiction, ensuring that students not only excel in English but also develop into independent thinkers who can express themselves confidently and critically in any context.. In fiction, students engage with novels, practice creative writing, and strengthen their reading comprehension skills. In non-fiction, they explore subjects such as science, history, speech, debate, and curiosity training, which encourage critical thinking and intellectual growth.

Focus on developing foundational skills to prepare students for the Twin.kle elementary program. The program is divided into four sessions throughout the year, with each session focusing on progressively increasing levels of English proficiency. Students begin at a 1.5 level of U.S. textbooks and gradually reach a 3.1 level by the end of the year,

Main Program:

  • Session Book: Each month, students are provided with a book that covers all aspects of their learning for that month.
  • Writing: Practice through weekly assignments (creative and essay writing).

  • Speaking: Follow and mimic videos and record their voices to improve confidence.

  • Reading: Read fiction books twice a week, introduce students to history and science through non-fiction text, such as How Did We Get Here? and Science Stories for Smart Kiddos.
