Hi there! Springbay English Academy is looking for caring and passionate Homeroom Teachers to join our warm, collaborative team in Songpa-gu, Seoul. We focus on helping students learn English naturally through a six-year immersion program that combines play, academics, and creativity. Our school is located in a convenient area of Songpa with easy access to Subway Line 5 and Line 3, as well as several nearby bus stops. Position Overview As a Homeroom Teacher, you’ll lead our kindergarten program in the mornings, working alongside a bilingual Korean co-teacher to guide and care for up to 12 students in a friendly and supportive environment. In the afternoons, you’ll teach elementary classes focused on developing communication, reading, writing, and grammar skills. We value a relaxed yet professional atmosphere where teachers are encouraged to bring their ideas to the classroom and grow as educators. Daily Schedule Morning: Kindergarten classes (ages 5–7) with a bilingual Korean teacher Afternoon: Elementary classes (starting around 5:45 PM) Break Time: At least one 40-minute prep period each day to plan, rest, or work on materials Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons Grade assignments and track students’ progress Communicate regularly with co-teachers and parents Teach speaking, reading, writing, phonics, and creative subjects (art, stories, etc.) Requirements Native English speaker (U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa) Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Eligible for E-2 visa or hold an F-visa Apostilled diploma and criminal background check Must be physically and mentally healthy and love working with kids Springbay is a great fit for teachers who want to be part of a close-knit community and make a lasting impact in their students’ learning journey.
