Our Curriculum and Programs

 

MPoly’s GRAD curriculum offers a rigorous English education for grades 5–9, based on the North American CCSS framework. Our curriculum integrates advanced English literature, Social Studies, Science, writing, and vocabulary, with intensive debate and public speaking to cultivate academic excellence and leadership skills. Each grade consists of three to four levels designed to cater to students with varying degrees of English proficiency and performance.

Honors (G4-5): Develop logical thinking, discussion, reading, and writing skills to prepare for admission to international middle schools.

 

Teaching Structure  Native teachers are expected to deliver lessons, assess student progress, and encourage student engagement on their own.
Lesson Planning Teachers follow a set curriculum with pre-made lesson plans. Teachers are given lesson plans a week prior and are expected to prepare for classes

Leaders (G6-7): Enhance critical thinking, debate, and writing skills in preparation for international school entrance exams.

 

Masters (G8): Strengthen English proficiency and academic performance while preparing for admission to prestigious high schools, including international and science high schools.

 

Elites (G9): Advance English fluency and maintain high proficiency while preparing for top-tier high schools, international and science high schools, and university entrance exams.

Monthly Grade and provide feedback on monthly exams, essays, and presentations.

Compile formal progress reports detailing comprehensive student achievement in key language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).  Each student report is expected to be within 1-3 pages in length. These reports are reviewed by our team before being shared with parents. 

Non-teaching Duties:

  • Beyond the classroom, teachers also are expected to:
    • Attend bi-annual teacher workshops
    • Supervise students during mealtimes (lunch, snack time)
    • Assist students with bathroom breaks (kindergarten, if needed)
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences (twice in a year)
    • Participate in field trips and school events
    • Bus loading and send-off

Our library cultivates a strong reading culture, with our students averaging 389 books per year—five times more than their peers. Teacher Training & Workshops

 

  • Teachers begin with one day of curriculum training, followed by two days of observation at the campus to meet staff and apply what they've learned.
  • After arriving at the campus, teachers go through an orientation to understand their responsibilities and receive feedback from experienced teachers.
  • We hold biannual workshops and training sessions to empower teachers to enhance their teaching methods and abilities.
