Our curriculum is designed to foster growth through engaging and interactive activities.

  • Language Class: Develop essential English skills through Phonics, Speaking, Show & Tell, Reading English, Listening Comprehension, and Writing.
  • Novel Reading: Explore simple novels to enhance their vocabulary and comprehension.
  • LUXX Premium Class: Includes Math, Brain-Boosting Problem Solving, Play-Based Math Activities, Book Reading, Brainstorming, and Logical Thinking to stimulate cognitive development.
  • Special Classes: Field Trips, P.E., Movie Days, Festivals, Sports Day, and Birthday Parties, providing opportunities for social and personal growth.
  • Creative Classes: Activities like Art & Craft, Music, Science, English Play Factory, and Math in Korean foster creativity and hands-on learning.
  • Musical English: Learn English through fun songs, rhythms, and movement.

 

Teaching Structure

Native teachers will lead all instruction, while Korean teachers manage the classroom and care for the students (1:1). For the Pre-K (4Y) classes, Korean teachers lead the lessons and activities.

Lesson Planning Teachers primarily follow lesson plans and instructional materials given by our staff but have the flexibility to add activities and supplementary materials. 

Our elementary curriculum focuses on personalized learning with close feedback and management from Korean homeroom teachers. Students improve their reading skills through the MyOn Online Reading Program and strengthen test-taking abilities with AR quizzes. Classes are level-based, with periodic tests and advancement exams to track progress. Additionally, the Homework Clinic offers review and supplementary lessons.

  • Phonics Class: Systematic English learning starting from alphabet sounds with speaking-related games.
  • Reading Class: Customized reading materials for each level, building a solid foundation in grammar. Students gain confidence through Book Reports and Presentations after reading.
  • Unmixed Class: Small group classes focusing on American textbooks, with Novel Speaking and Science lessons.

Our curriculum emphasizes discussion, presentations, and debates on subjects like history, science, politics, and economics, modeled after American private high schools. Students explore current issues by watching CNN/BBC and actively participate in discussions and debates.

  • Classes: Literature, Essay Writing, Novel Studies, Test Preparation, Grammar, World Affairs and Vocabulary

Da Vinci College Entrance Program (G6-9): Designed to prepare students for the CSAT and entrance into national universities.

 

Da Vinci Global Admission Program (G7-G9): Designed to prepare students for study abroad and international schools. 

 

KNOX Power Reading Program

  • Follows the ERDP Immersion Learning System, evaluates reading comprehension and vocabulary through regular assessments, such as Accelerated Reading (AR), Start Early Literacy, and Start Reading (SR).
  • Students can choose from our large collection of physical books as well as the myON Reader e-book Library.

 

Teaching Structure Each class will have a bilingual Korean mentor teacher who will observe the students and regularly communicate with parents about their progress.
