Welcome

Welcome to RIS Kids Academy.

RIS is a specialized kindergarten educational institution and the sister school of KFS (formerly RIS International School). Since 2006, we have continued to grow each day through the love and support of our families.

KFS is one of only five schools in Seoul approved by the U.S. Embassy for the children of embassy staff.

RIS is founded on the educational philosophy of Kagan Cooperative Learning. Our curriculum is based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and is designed to bridge the gap between international schools and English academies. Through a variety of hands-on materials and activity-based lessons, we strive to make learning natural, engaging, and enjoyable for young children.

At RIS, children enjoy:

  • A comfortable and welcoming environment filled with fun activities

  • Natural language acquisition by approaching English as a communication tool rather than simply a subject

  • Enhanced speaking opportunities through interaction with both Korean and international students

Each class is led by two caring and dedicated teachers who work to understand the unique personality and needs of every child. Supported by our curriculum team and educational specialists, we provide a nurturing environment where children are treated with love, respect, and genuine care.

Our educational philosophy emphasizes:

  • Using language as a practical tool for communication

  • Providing warm, attentive care through compassionate teachers

RIS does not focus on expensive or extravagant facilities. Instead, we are committed to creating a safe, healthy, and eco-friendly learning environment.

Our facilities include:

  • Eco-friendly construction designed with children's emotional well-being and health in mind

  • Regular professional cleaning and sanitization services

  • Classrooms filled with natural sunlight

  • Nutritious and balanced lunches prepared for our students

Mission

At RIS, we believe that early childhood is the most important stage for developing creativity and imagination. Our mission is to ensure that children experience these formative years with happiness while maintaining a healthy balance between academics, social development, and cognitive growth.

We strive to provide an educational environment where each child can develop their own unique strengths and identity as valued members of a community.

Every child learns differently, grows differently, and behaves differently. We embrace and respect these differences, creating a space where all children can explore, learn, and grow together.
