Full-Time Kindergarten Native Teacher Needed at Ochang POLY / Jan & March 2027

As an English Teacher at Ochang POLY, you will deliver high-quality English language instruction to motivated students ranging from kindergarten to middle school. Located in Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, our campus offers a dynamic, North American-style academic environment. You will create an engaging, structured classroom that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence using standard, aligned North American curricula. Responsibilities Overview • Academic Instruction: Teach engaging, structured English lessons adhering to POLY's North American curriculum (McGraw-Hill, CCSS alignment). • High-Level Student Engagement: Challenge advanced ESL/EFL students to reach their full potential through higher-order thinking activities, reading comprehension, and creative/essay writing. • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student progress regularly using quizzes, standardized monthly tests, and continuous assessment tools to provide constructive feedback. • School Events & Community: Participate in key academic events such as the annual POLY Speech Contest and reading programs. • Professional Growth: Attend structured training sessions, including POLY Teachers' Workshops, campus training, and language instructor seminars. • Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment • Team Collaboration: Work alongside a balanced team of 5 native English instructors and 5 bilingual Korean teachers to maintain high educational standards. Working Conditions • Working Hours: Monday. Wednesday. Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. / Tuesday. Thursday. 9:00 A.M-6:40 P.M. • Student Type: Kindergarten to Middle School (Pre-K, K, E, M) • Class Size: Maximum 12 students per class (40 minutes per class. • Daily lunch provided • Daily lunch break & afternoon prep break (2:10 PM – 3:00 PM)) Requirements • Native English Proficiency: Citizen of USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa (for E-2 visa requirements). • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university. • Visa Eligibility: Eligible for E-2 visa sponsorship, or holder of F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean Citizenship. • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Professional Attributes: Strong communication, time-management skills, adaptiveness, and a passion for guiding young learners through rigorous academic programs.
