ESL Homeroom Teachers Wanted at POLY Gwanggyo

POLY is looking for qualified homeroom teachers to serve as kindergarten to elementary school-age teachers. You will be teaching mainly kindergarten classes in the mornings with elementary classes in the afternoons. 1. Responsibilities Overview • Teach and manage Early Childhood (5 to 7-year-old Kindergarteners) and Elementary school students (Grades 1-5) • Prepare for class using teaching materials provided by POLY • Communicate with school managers regarding students’ classroom behavior and academic progress • Grade and edit students’ work (homework, essays, vocabulary quizzes, etc…) • Write monthly Report (feedback) on student progress, etc. • Attendance of Saturday POLY Workshop held twice a year 2. Requirements • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. • Teaching Certification (TEFL, TESOL, etc.) 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary • Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided. • Working Hours: 9:10 am to 6:45 pm • Teaching Hours: 5-6 hours per day • Break Time: 1:50 P.M. - 2:40 P.M. As an English Teacher at POLY (Campus name), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to students ranging from kindergarten to elementary school. You will create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for the English language. Your role will involve planning and implementing engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the overall development of the school's educational programs. Responsibilities Overview • Teach engaging and effective English lessons following POLY's North American curriculum and educational standards. • Utilize a structured, textbook-based approach to deliver lessons that emphasize academic rigor and intellectual growth. • Cater to higher-level students, challenging them to reach their full potential through advanced coursework and activities. • Participate in school events (POLY Speech Contest) and professional development opportunities (POLY Teachers' Workshops, POLY Teacher's Training Sessions, and Foreign Language Instructors' Seminar) • Regularly evaluate student progress through tests, quizzes, and other assessment tools, providing detailed feedback to support their academic development. • Maintain a disciplined and orderly classroom environment conducive to focused learning and academic excellence. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a cohesive and supportive teaching community.
