ESL Teacher Needed at POLY Gangdong in Seoul
1. Role and Responsibilities We are seeking English native speakers who can handle both class management and administrative duties that include daily homework input and checking, weekly writing assignments and quizzes, and monthly report cards to name a few. Teachers will be given training and guidance to learn about our campus culture and expectations in the classrooms. Teachers will be expected to make weekly lesson plans and prep for all their classes based on the monthly teaching schedule that is provided by POLY Headquarters. Our campus seeks teachers who will create a fun and safe learning environment. We expect our teachers to act and dress professionally while being self-motivated to learn and understand their students’ needs and learning styles. We strive to maintain a team- oriented environment and make an effort to support each other. We look forward to expanding our team! Our teachers' emotional and physical condition is important to us because happy teachers make a happy class! You will be responsible for the following: • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons • Grade regular homework assignments • Prepare and create tests and examinations • Track and report students’ performance and give feedback • Teach advanced English level kindergarten students ages 6-7 speaking, stories, arts and crafts, phonics, reading, and writing • Teach advanced English-level elementary school students through speaking and writing, reading, grammar, and book discussion classes 2. Candidate Qualifications All candidates must; • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary • Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided. • Working Hours: Mon., Wed., & Fri., 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., Tue., & Thu., 9:00 A.M. - 6:45 P.M. • Lunch: Teachers are not required to eat with students • Teaching Hours: 40 classes per week • Teacher Training: Provided • Teaching Staff: 10 Native English Teachers
