English Homeroom Teacher Needed at Maewon Elementary School in Seoul

1. Role and Responsibilities You will be an English teacher for our Elementary students. Follow the premade curriculum and textbook, but also use your creativity and imagination to make the classes more fun and enjoyable for the students. You will be responsible for the following: • Teach as a homeroom teacher (most of the teaching is with your class) • Teach listening, speaking, basic reading and writing skills • Follow a textbook and syllabus for easy lesson prep • Meet learning goals and track student improvement • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the school • Actively engage students in the learning process. • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group. 2. Candidate Qualifications All candidates must; • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. • Only hiring teachers that are currently in Korea. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Elementary (Grades 2 or 3) • Curriculum: Curriculum provided. • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:10 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. • Teaching Hours: 20 hours a week • Lunch: Provided at the cafeteria for less than 6,000 won per meal deducted from the teacher's pay check. *Supplementary Income (in addition to the salary) 1) Winter Camp (1 week): 1,200,000 KRW 2) Summer Camp (1 week): 1,200,000 KRW 3) Afterschool Classes (30 minutes a day, 4:30 - 5:30 P.M.): Approx. 1,500,000 KRW per semester
