About Us

KID’S COLLEGE is a private institute, best described as an English immersion school dedicated to teaching Korean children real and meaningful English skills. KID’S COLLEGE offers a school environment that is as similar as possible to that of an American or a Canadian school. While the majority of students are enrolled in kindergarten, KID’S COLLEGE conducts classes for children ranging in age from four to twelve.  

Our programs

KID’S COLLEGE recognizes that children are natural learners. They seek to make sense of their world and do so in a natural manner, experimenting, and solving problems to add to what they already know. This point is emphasized by the preference of many researchers to state that children acquire, rather than learn the language. In response, KID’S COLLEGE classrooms seek to provide a natural learning environment in which this active, constructive learning can continue and this natural curiosity for the world around them is encouraged. The primary task of KID’S COLLEGE teachers is to engage students and create a need for language by the richness of their interactions.

Teacher Training

Whenever possible, teachers will be provided with orientation. This is usually the teacher’s first working day, on which the teacher meets with experienced staff, observes classes, and becomes familiar with KID’S COLLEGE teaching techniques.

Location Description

Daejeon is South Korea's fifth-largest metropolis, with a population of 1.5 million as of 2021.  The city is known both for its technology and research institutions. There is a large natural environment, with most mountains, hot springs, and rivers freely open for public use. Daejeon serves as a hub of transportation for major rail and road routes, and is approximately 50 minutes from the capital, Seoul, by KTX or SRT high speed rail.

Daejeon has a monsoon-influenced, four-season climate with slightly more mild temperature extremes compared with Seoul. Winters are cold and dry with a monthly mean temperature of −1.0 °C (30.2 °F) in January. Summers are hot and humid with a monthly mean temperature of 25.6 °C (78.1 °F) in August. The heaviest rainfall during the year typically occurs from July through August during the Korean monsoon season.
