Francis Parker Collegiate Curriculum/Program
Francis Parker Collegiate Kindergarten offers a premium English immersion education based on the North American Curriculum for kindergarten (ages 5-7) and elementary (ages 8-10) students. In addition to English, the program seamlessly integrates Korean, mathematics, and artistic activities to nurture children into globally-minded leaders with broad perspectives. By using predominantly self-developed textbooks, the program enables students to adapt to the linguistic characteristics and environment of Korean children.

There are three subjects that are operated based on 12 themes according to the Early Childhood Education Curriculum. Using the content learned in the Hye:Yum class as a foundation, vocabulary is learned through the Common Core Sight Words program, and in the Themed Speaking class, vocabulary is deepened and speech classes are conducted. This can be seen as an integration education that is rarely seen in Korea.
Francis Parker Collegiate Elementary
Francis Parker Collegiate Elementary program provides two distinct tracks tailored to students at the elementary level who are just beginning to learn English. The "Elementary Foundation Course" focuses on expanding basic vocabulary and balanced development in the four language domains, starting from phonics, while the "Elementary Advanced Course" caters to students who have been learning English since kindergarten. It systematically teaches reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, speaking, and grammar to enhance language proficiency and integrated literacy skills. The goal is to empower students to articulate their thoughts on social issues in English with confidence.

Upon arrival in Korea, we strictly adhere to the legal standards set for salary, social insurance enrollment, vacation, severance pay, and other benefits, in addition to providing flight assistance and housing. The cost of living in Korea is relatively low, allowing teachers to save a significant portion of their monthly salary (most teachers save over a third of their salary) and explore a wide range of regions and enjoy the vibrant lifestyle unique to Korea.
3. Requirements
We welcome applications from outstanding candidates who aspire to contribute to and grow within a prestigious and successful educational institution like ours. We anticipate that applicants will demonstrate exceptional levels of professionalism and dedication as dynamic and ambitious educators. It's crucial that they understand that our education program often demands more than what may be typically expected, aiming to maximize the values and potentials of both the school and students.
Common visa and work permit requirements under South Korean law include:
- Completion of a 3-4 year bachelor's degree or higher
- Notarized degree certificate
- Notarized criminal background check
- Good physical health
4. Recruitment Process and Application Method for Teachers
Given that obtaining a Korean visa typically takes 2-3 months, applicants should plan accordingly. Our academic semesters commence in March and September, and we annually hire 100-200 teachers across our 50 branches. Recruitment is continuous due to expansion and vacancies, allowing applications at any time.
Korean work permits are generally issued for 1-2 years with fixed contract periods. However, the school values long-term employment through contract renewals to ensure continuity. We also support teachers seeking cultural experiences by facilitating their transfers to different locations within Korea.
