Online English Speaking Coach

We are looking for friendly and reliable English-speaking instructors for our online 1:1 speaking program for Korean adult learners.

All nationalities are welcome to apply.

What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly and naturally in English and to encourage beginner-level students to speak with confidence.

Students learn specific English expressions and speaking patterns before meeting with the instructor. Your role is to help them actually use what they have already learned through guided conversation and speaking practice.

About the Class

• 1:1 online speaking class

• 25 minutes per class

• Korean adult learners

• Mainly beginner-level students

• Classes conducted via Zoom or Google Meet

• 100% remote / work from home

• Teaching materials and lesson guidelines provided

During the lesson, you will help students:

• Practice expressions they learned that week

• Answer simple questions using the target expressions

• Practice short role-plays

• Improve pronunciation, stress, and natural rhythm

• Build confidence speaking English

You do not need to create your own curriculum or teaching materials.

After each class, instructors are required to leave 1–2 short lines of feedback for the student.

The feedback should briefly mention:

• What the student did well

• What the student could practice or improve

For example:

"Great job using today's expressions naturally! Let's practice the 'F' sound a little more for next time."

The feedback should be simple, positive, and encouraging.

Schedule

This is a regular weekly schedule, not an on-call position.

You tell us the days and times you are consistently available, and we will open student slots based on your availability.

For example:

• Monday: 7:00–9:00 AM

• Wednesday: 6:00–9:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Once a student is assigned to a time slot, the student will normally meet you at the same day and time every week.

We are especially looking for instructors who can provide a consistent schedule for several months or longer.

Compensation

₩10,000 per 25-minute class

Two consecutive classes = ₩20,000 for 50 minutes of teaching

This position is offered on a freelance/independent contractor basis, and 3.3% withholding tax will be deducted from payments in accordance with Korean tax requirements.

As the program grows, reliable instructors may be assigned more regular students and teaching hours.

Your main responsibility is to help students practice speaking English and use the expressions they have already learned.

• Fluent and highly proficient in English

• Clear and natural in pronunciation

• Friendly, patient, and encouraging

• Comfortable working with adult beginners

• Reliable and punctual

• Comfortable using Zoom or Google Meet

• Able to give simple pronunciation and speaking feedback

• Available for a consistent weekly schedule

• Interested in a long-term teaching opportunity

Nationality does not matter. Applicants from any country are welcome.

Korean language ability is not required, but applicants who can communicate in Korean at a basic or conversational level will be preferred.

Experience teaching Korean adult learners is also a plus, but not required.
