Job Description
1. Roles and Responsibilities
Role: Elementary Homeroom Teacher (Gr.1)
Responsibilities
• Create syllabi, unit plans, rublics and lesson plans
• Grade homework and design tests
• Write report card comments
• Participate in parent counselling when needed
• (Optional) Supervise club or extracurricular activites
2. Candidate Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Korean citizens or F-Series visa holders or E-2 visa holders
• Korean citizens must be able to teach using fluent English.
• Teaching license or certifiation preferred preferred
• Teachers with experience with younger learners preferred
• Teachers must be a practicing Christian.
3. Working Conditions
• Teaching Age Group: Elementary School Students (Gr.1)
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:20 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: Less than 25 hours per week
Salary
2.5 million KRW monthly and up (Negotiable upon experience, education and qualifications)
Benefits
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance: upon completion of a one-year contract, severance pay which is equal to one month’s salary is paid to the teacher.
• Vacation: 4 week summer vacation (2 weeks paid, 2 weeks unpaid) + 2 week winter vacation (paid)
Teachers are expected to teach the vacation camps outside of these teacher vacation times.
