Job Description
SLP Gwangmyeong is looking for qualified teachers to serve as kindergarten teachers. As a kindergarten teacher at SLP, you will be teaching students from age 5 to 7. You will teach in an English immersion program that focuses on topics such as phonics, basic writing, stories, science, and arts & crafts and help students gain confidence in English.
Responsibilities Overview
• Delivering effective instruction in accordance with the curriculum and educational standards of the Institute.
• Accumulate background knowledge and reading skills through various contents, while engaging in speaking activities to express understanding
• Read articles addressing real-world issues and participate in discussions, debates, and various speaking and writing activities.
• Overseeing and ensuring the welfare, safety, and productive engagement of students during instructional and institutional activities.
• Actively contributing to the creation, development, and execution of the curriculum, adapting to the evolving educational needs of students.
• Conducting student assessments, providing constructive feedback, and preparing detailed evaluation reports to track and support student progress.
• Have regular teaching evaluations conducted by the Academic Supervisor or other designated administrators
• Adhering to and implementing the established teaching policies and guidelines of the Institute.
• Participating in group teaching sessions, demonstrating teaching methodologies, and engaging in peer learning.
• Engaging in training programs organized by the SLP Institute or SLP headquarters, aiming for continuous professional enhancement.
Working Conditions
• Student Type: Kindergarten
• Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M
• Teaching Hours: 30-35 classes per week
• Class Time: 40 minutes per class
• Class Size: 8 students per class
• Lunch: Eat with kids, 100,000KRW provided monthly
• Teacher Training: Provided
Requirements
• Native-level proficiency in English
• Bachelor's degree (minimum requirement)
• Elligible for or possesses an E-2 visa with citizenship from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa.
• F visa or Korean citizenship holders
• Apostilled documents (Diploma & Criminal Record Check)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about teaching.
• Ability to adapt to a new cultural environment.
Salary
2,500,000 KRW monthly and upwards (Based on years of experience and qualifications)
