1. Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
• Follow the premade curriculum, but also use your creativity and imagination to make the classes more fun and enjoyable for the students. Need to create lessons based on the curriculum
• Be able to lead and guide reading comprehension lessons
• Follow a textbook and syllabus for easy lesson prep
• Add your own activities to help students learn better
• Meet learning goals and track student improvement
• Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute
• Actively engage students in the learning process.
• Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group.
2. Candidate Qualifications
All candidates must;
• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• F-visa holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Elementary focused with some Kindergarten classes
• Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided.
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday
1) Full-time: 11:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. (1 hour break included)
2) Part-time: 1:00 - 6:00 P.M.
• Teaching Hours:
1) Full-time: 26 - 30 hours per week
- Morning time: 7-year-old children (prep classes for entering competitive elementary institutes)
- Afternoon: Elementary (Grade 1-5)
Novel and nonfiction reading classes, followed by discussion, debate, and essay writing
2) Part-time: 15 hours per week (elementary classes only)
• Lunch: Meal provided by the school for full-time teaches
• Class Time: 50 minutes per class
• Class Size: On average, 8 students per class
• Teacher Training: Provided
• Teaching Staff: 4 Native English Teachers & 3 Korean Teachers
Salary
Negotiable depending on experience and qualification
Benefits
(Benefits below only provided for full-time teachers)
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance Pay: Paid upon the completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)
• Vacation: 1 week as summer vacation and 1 week as winter vacation plus Korean National Holidays
• Airfare: One-way reimbursed for candidates outside of Korea
Housing
Housing Provided, Housing Allowance Provided
(Housing or housing allowance only provided for full-time teachers)
Single housing will be provided by the school.
Or the teacher can be provided with a housing allowance of 500,000 won monthly instead.
