Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Guidance
- Help students set academic goals and develop effective study habits.
- Provide guidance on course selection, scheduling, and academic planning.
- Monitor academic progress and work with teachers to address any challenges.
2. Social and Emotional Support
- Offer individual and group counseling sessions to address personal, social, and emotional concerns.
- Help students develop coping strategies, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
3. Career and College Readiness
- Guide students in exploring career options and planning for higher education.
- Assist with college applications, scholarship opportunities, and resumes.
- Organize workshops and events such as college fairs and career days.
4. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with teachers and parents to identify and address student needs.
- Collaborate with external professionals and community resources when additional support is required.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, students, and families.
5. Development of Counseling Programs
- Design and implement programs that promote student well-being, such as anti-bullying campaigns, stress management workshops, and peer support initiatives.
- Evaluate and update counseling programs based on student needs and feedback.
6. Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Prepare reports and provide data to school administrators as needed.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements regarding student welfare.
