Welcome to MPoly Mokdong
We are committed to nurturing gifted English learners and returnee students.
Rooted in the American Common Core State Standards (CCSS), our curriculum prepares outstanding elementary and middle school students for both English and domestic entrance exams, focusing on advanced reading, debate, and essay writing.
At the heart of our mission is reading. Reading feeds every part of our curriculum and becomes the fuel for meaningful discussion and the foundation of all learning.
As part of the Poly family, our campus carries forward a legacy of excellence, ensuring that each child meets academic benchmarks and grows into well-rounded, curious, global leaders.
My leadership philosophy is simple: to provide students with a high-quality education, I must first ensure that our teachers are happy and supported. As a director, my priority is to foster a positive working environment where teachers feel valued, motivated, and equipped to succeed.

Our Curriculum and Programs
MPoly’s GRAD curriculum offers a rigorous English education for grades 5–9, based on the North American CCSS framework. Our curriculum integrates advanced English literature, social studies, science, writing, and vocabulary, with intensive debate and public speaking to cultivate academic excellence and leadership skills. Each grade consists of three to four levels designed to cater to students with varying degrees of English proficiency and performance.
There are 5 levels within the elementary school program, where students are placed based on ability. The lower levels are focused on comprehension, whilst the higher levels focus on critical thinking, especially in English classes.
|
7th-grade students follow a similar curriculum to elementary school students, except they no longer take essay writing classes. Again, depending on their level, focus will be on either comprehension or critical thinking.
For 8th and 9th-grade students, the subjects taught will be English and Public Speaking & Writing, where students take part in projects and debates to improve their skills in preparing and presenting topics.

- Online Interview: Our director and Academic Coordinator ask candidates a series of questions to evaluate suitability. We also answer any questions they may have for us.

Key Considerations
- The school environment is fast-paced and academically demanding, with many advanced-level students.
- Classes typically begin around 2:15 PM and conclude around 10:15 PM.
- Teachers are expected to independently plan and deliver their own lessons, as well as manage their classrooms. While much of the work is done independently, collaboration and flexibility are essential, as schedules and expectations may change on short notice.
-
Our campus is in a vibrant area near 3 major Subway Lines (Lines 2,5, and 9), recreational areas (Paris Park, Mokdong Stadium), and many academies.
