1. Roles and Responsibilities As a kindergarten and elementary teacher at CLS, you will be responsible for teaching English to young learners through a variety of special classes including Language Arts, Speech Contest/Show and Tell, Play Facto, Exploratory Class, Craft and Drawing, Action and Play, Cooking Class, and Group Project. Teachers are usually responsible for specific grades. You will be responsible for the following: •Teach basic to advanced reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar to students •Teach phonics, speech, vocab, language arts, science and social studies, debate, TOEFL/SAT prep, newspaper review, and book discussion •Follow the American curriculum and create supportive lesson plans based on our curriculum •Grade homework, reports, and essays •Update parents regarding student progress 2. Candidate Qualifications • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Teaching experience in South Korea at Kindergarten & Elementary student level • Must be physically and mentally healthy 3. Working Conditions Working hours are described as the time you need to be present at the school. Teaching hours are the active amount of time you will be conducting classes or activities. • Students type: Kindergarten & Elementary • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:10 A.M. - 5:10 P.M. or 8:50 A.M. - 5:50 P.M. • Lunch Hour: Teachers do not have to eat with students • Teaching Hours: 30 classes per week
