Berkeley Language School Haeundae Hiring Homeroom Teachers / Mar. 2025

At Berkeley Language School, you will be a homeroom teacher for our Kindergarten students and teach a few elementary classes in the afternoon. 1. Responsibilities Overview • Conduct classes as scheduled. You will be a kindergarten homeroom teacher with a Korean-speaking assistant teacher and you will be an English subject teacher to elementary school students (with no assistance). • Prepare materials for classes • Student assessment and reporting • Communicate and cooperate with classroom teacher, co-teacher, and administration • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute. 2. Requirements • Be citizens of the following countries: U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa • Have all required documents (apostilled nationwide criminal background check and an apostilled diploma from a 4-year accredited university). • Have a clean self-medical health check. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary School Students • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. • Break Times: 10:05~10:15(10min), 10:50~10:55(5min), 11:30~11:35(5min), 12:10~12:55(45min Lunch), 13:30~13:35(5min), 14:10~14:15(5min), 14:50~15:15(25min), 16:05~16:10(5min), 16:55~17:00(5min) • Teaching Time: 35 Kindergarten Classes + 15 Elementary Classes a week • Class Length: Kindergarten Classes 35 minutes, Elementary Classes 45 minutes • Class Size: 13 students • Most classes are in the classroom setting, but there will be 2 outdoor classes a month for the kindergarten studnents • Teaching Staff: 8 Native Teachers • Teacher Training: Provided (Mandatory training on Feb 28 and Mar 3 in person), Native Teacher Workshop (provided by the Ministry of Education)
