Altus is Latin and it means both 'deep' and 'high'.

Our hope is for our students to gain 'deep' learning through books rather than textbooks, which will help them deliver 'high' performances when they grow up. 

 

We are a small academy in Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Yeoju is a beautiful city with the Han river flowing peacefully and lots of bike/walking paths on the side of tall green trees. It is an hour drive away from Seoul and has a direct bus route and a subway line going to Gangnam, Seoul, which takes about an hour as well.

 

We belive in FUN. 

Teachers need to have fun when teaching and students learn best when they are having fun. For that, we teach through games, crafts, art, science projects, and other fun activities supported with reading lots of good books.

 

Altus는 라틴어로 '깊다'와 '높다'라는 뜻이 함께 있습니다.

우리의 희망은 학생들이 교재가 아닌 책을 통해 '깊게' 배우고 나중에 사회에 나가서 '높게' 날수 있게 되는 것 입니다.

 

우리는 경기도 여주시에 있는 작은 학원 입니다. 여주는 한강이 흐르고 푸른 나무 사이로 자전거 도로와 산책로가 많은 아주 아름다운 도시 입니다. 서울에서는 차로 한시간 정도 걸리며 강남까지 가는 버스와 지하철이 있습니다. 버스와 지하철로도 약 한시간 정도 걸립니다.

 

우리는 재미를 중요하게 생각합니다.

가르치는 선생님도 즐거움을 느끼셨으면 좋겠고 아이들은 재미 있을 때 가장 잘 배운다고 생각합니다. 그래서 우리는 원서 읽기, 놀이, 만들기, 미술, 과학 실험, 각종 즐거운 활동들로 아이들을 가르치려 합니다.
