The area with the highest population in Ulju County is Bumseo-eup, Ulju-gu, Ulsan Metropolitan City. As the most populous neighborhood in Ulju County, it features several schools, supermarkets, and apartment complexes. The terrain was originally conducive to early development, with extensive fields and orchards. Recently, new residential areas have been developed through land development.

Although there are now several elementary schools in Bumseo-eup, in the past, children from Jeomchon Bridge in the west or from Jeongchon and Daerimaeul in the east had to walk several kilometers to attend school. The area, which includes Bumseo Park (formerly Bumseo Lake), Hansin Apartments, and Seobu Church, was connected by narrow concrete roads, traversing vast fields and mountains.

Given the presence of school traffic, one could witness the sight of students lining up in single file, guided by older students acting as safety guards. Children born at least until 1996 would likely remember this scene.

Furthermore, due to the development of the New Bumseo District, Bumseo Middle School, originally located on a hillside, now stands alone on elevated ground surrounded by flat land developed for housing. Particularly around the sports field, there is a steep cliff of about 10 meters high, necessitating the installation of high safety fences atop retaining walls to prevent accidents.

Bumseo-eup offers residential complexes, convenience facilities, and franchise stores within the city center, providing little reason for residents to travel to areas like Seongnam-dong or Samsan-dong, except for department stores or cinemas.

In terms of transportation, the roads in Bumseo-eup are relatively decent. Using Ulmil-ro, residents can easily reach Ulsan Station or Eonyang, and heading towards Gulhwa connects to Ulsan IC leading to Busan-Pohang Expressway.

This road also connects seamlessly to places like Sinbok Rotary and Ujeong Innovation City. National Route connecting to Gyeongju is directly accessible via Seonbawi Bridge within Bumseo-eup. Moreover, internal roads within Bumseo-eup are also well-maintained.
