Elementary School Teacher

Job Description KNSEDU, popularly known as KNS, has been a well-recognized education institution in Gangnamgu, Seoul. Currently, students of K-3 through K-12 in KNS English academy are willing to enhance their academic performance under the guidance of instructors at KNS. We are seeking full-time instructors who are willing to cooperate with co-teachers and help students to make their dreams come true. Open Positions: 1. Education Specialists with remarkable knowledge of and accomplished experience in convergence education, such as IB (International Baccalaurate), STEM, STEAM, etc and parliamentary debate, or specialized TOEFL listening course will be preferred. But we also welcome someone who is expected to be a great teacher in those areas. I. General Working Conditions: You will be responsible for the following: - Plan, prepare and deliver lessons - Prepare teaching materials ahead of time - Grade regular homework assignments and revise essays - Prepare and create tests and examinations - Track and report students’ performance and give feedback - Teach English to advanced elementary school students through speaking and writing, and book discussion classes II. Specific Working Conditions: 1. Work hous & days -Each class: 50min -weekdays: 14:00~21:30 -Sat: 6hrs (09:30~15:30 or 10:30~16:30) -Work days (5 days a week): Mon-Fri or Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, Sat (Sat and Wed are interchangeable) As for Sat classes, you are required to participate in Sat classes when we do not have enough native teachers who volunteer to do them. You'll get extra monthly pay for that semester( ex) Fall semester: Sep, Oct, Nov=three months). Then, we'll let another teacher take over your Sat classes, if you do not want to keep doing it or the evaluation of your performance is not up to par. Then you'll have classes on Wed instead next semester. 2. Salary and Benefits -Your salary will be decided after your interview and demo classes. -Salary depends on your teaching career and the outcome of your interview and mock class. -Contrary to most private schools, we prepare you good meals on your working day. -Housing or housing allowance provided -Vacation: Annual paid leave according Korean Labor Laws, which is 11 days in total the first year. 15 days for the next contract period. You'll get one more every two years. -Half of the medical insurance pursuant to the National Medical Insurance Act of Korea, Half of the national pension plan deduction pursuant to the National Pension Corporation Act of Korea, and occupational safety insurance -Plus, bonuses and incentives are given depending on your job performance. Candidate Qualifications -Someone with a college degree in Humanities or related fields preferred. But you can be hired also if you show your prospect as a great asset to KNS, though you majored in other fields. -Someone with teaching & management skills and expertise, who can help students to develop their advanced skills in academic reading, writing, speaking, listening, and test taking. -Must be citizens of the following countries: U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and eligible for an E-2 Visa, holds an F-visa or Korean Citizen with native level English proficiency. - Apostilled Diploma (For those who graduated outside of Korea) - Apostilled Federal Criminal Background Check (issued within the last 6 months) - A Self-Medical Health Check Location [Hando Building 3rd&4th Floor], 515 Dogok-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
