An elementary homeroom teacher at Fayston is responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young students. We are a Christian school so it's preferred for our teachers to feel comfortable teaching those types of curriculums and lessons. Responsibilities: Instruction: Delivering lessons in various subjects, including math, reading, science, and social studies, while adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Classroom Management: Establishing rules and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly classroom, promoting respect and cooperation among students. Assessment: Evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, and observations, and providing feedback to students and parents. Communication: Maintaining open communication with parents and guardians about student performance and classroom activities, often through conferences and newsletters. Curriculum Development: Collaborating with other teachers to design and implement age-appropriate curricula and instructional strategies. Support: Providing emotional and academic support to students, helping them develop social skills and confidence. Professional Development: Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational practices and technologies. Qualifications All candidates must: • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. Working Conditions • Student Type: Elementary • Working Hours: 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M • Teaching Hours: 25-28 classes per week • Class Time: 45 minutes per class (Elementary) • Class Size: 10-14 students per class • Teacher Training: Provided • Lunch: Provided by the school • Teaching Staff: 8 Native English Teachers, 7 Korean Teachers
