Job Description
1. Responsibilities Overview
• Teach kindergarten students speaking, reading, writing, and listening through chants, songs, pictures, and fantasy books
• Follow SDA’s curriculum to help students learn English through kinetic learning
• Guide students through contemporary reading and journal writing
• Prepare teaching materials ahead of time
• Grade regular homework assignments
• Track and report students’ performance date and give feedback
2. Requirements
• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• F-visa holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Kindergarten (Ages 5-7)
• Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., Friday 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
• Curriculum and lesson plans provided.
• Teacher Training: Provided
Salary
2.4 million KRW per month and up (negotiable)
Benefits
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance Pay: Paid upon the completion of employment (minimum 1-year contract)
• Vacation: 14 days, in addition to National Korean Holidays
• Airfare: One-way reimbursed for candidates outside of Korea (700,000KRW after the completion of the contract)
Housing
Housing Provided, Housing Allowance Provided
Teachers will get a private room in a shared apartment.
