Newton Talented Youth Academy is a recognized educational institute located in the heart of Gangnam, specifically in the Nonhyeon-dong area. As a college-preparatory program following an American curriculum, we are dedicated to fostering academic excellence and preparing students for top universities worldwide.

Over the past two years, Newton has experienced remarkable growth, tripling in student enrollment, and we are excited to celebrate the opening of our second campus in Jan 2025. As we expand, we are seeking passionate and qualified Social Studies teachers to join our outstanding faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in Social Studies instruction for grades 8-12

• Capability to teach AP-level Social Science courses (i.e. AP World History) 

• Ability to effectively instruct middle school and high school students

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and administration

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, History, Social Science, Education, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in English, History, Social Sciences, Education, or related fields

• Experience incorporating educational technology and interactive learning strategies

• Teaching license or certification

Job Details:

• Starting salary: 3.4 - 4.1M Korean Won/month (depending on your experience)

• Position Start Date: August 1st, 2025

• Full-time position: Up to 25 teaching hours per week, plus additional responsibilities (details discussed during interview)

• Work hours: 8:40 AM - 4:40 PM

• Eligible citizenship: USA, Korea, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand
