Job Description
1. Roles and Responsibilities
MICA International Scholars, an internationally accredited school, is looking for a passionate secondary science and math teacher.
Responsibilities:
• Teach your a mix of AP Biology, Chemistry, AP Physics, Life Science, Physical Science, Algebra, Geometry, and basic math.
• Provide feedback on student learning and facilitate student learning in areas students struggle in
• Follow the textbooks and syllabi provided by the school to create a diverse curriculum and lesson plans for students
• Add appropriate learning activities, visual aids, and auditory aids to lessons
• Grade assignments and prepare student progress reports in a timely manner
• Attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings
• Take part in PTCs (Parent-Teacher Conferences) and consult with parents regarding student progress and areas that students can improve upon
2. Candidate Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Korean citizen or F-Series visa Holder
• Korean citizen should be able to teach using fluent English only
• Teacher with teaching experience preferred
• Teaching license preferred
3. Working Conditions
Working hours are described as the time you need to be present at the school. Teaching hours are the active amount of time you will be conducting classes or activities.
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:40 A.M. - 4:40 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary
2.4-2.8 Million KRW (Negotiable upon Experience)
Benefits
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance: upon completion of a one-year contract, severance pay which is equal to one month’s salary is paid to the teacher.
•Vacation: 8 Weeks per year + National holidays and other small holidays like Easter.
•Commuter bus provided to and from Migeum subway station.
