Our Curriculum and Programs

 

We follow the American CCSS and offer a comprehensive curriculum for kindergarten and elementary students, using self-published textbooks developed by our dedicated faculty. Teachers conduct quarterly testing and provide monthly progress reports to keep parents informed of their child's development.

 

 

Our Kindergarten Program includes a diverse range of English-based classes and immersion classes in blocks, art, cooking, clay, PE, science, and math. Additionally, we offer extracurricular activities, such as Ballet, Dance, Violin, Taekwondo, and Musical Theater.  

 

 

[Speaking Curriculum]

  • 5 years old: 12 topics based on the Nuri curriculum
  • 6 years old : Show & Tell once a week
  • 7 years old: Write scripts by yourself, corrected by native speakers, and presented once a week
  • Reading class through the Korean program twice a week

Teaching Structure

Native teachers lead lessons with the support of Korean bilingual assistants (1:1). Assistants help manage the class, talk with parents, and help students get on the shuttle bus.

Lesson Planning

Teachers follow a set curriculum with pre-made lesson plans. Teachers are given lesson plans a week prior and are expected to prepare for classes accordingly. Prep time is provided during work hours.

Our elementary program offers two tracks to accommodate different levels of English proficiency.

 

Junior Course: For first-time English learners, this track focuses on mastering phonics, building foundational vocabulary, and strengthening comprehension and expression through reading.

 

lite Course Course: For FP kindergarten graduates and students with prior English exposure, fosters debate skills, analytical reading, and persuasive writing.

Da Vinci College Entrance Program (G6-9): Designed to prepare students for the CSAT and entrance into national universities.

KNOX Power Reading Program

  • Follows the ERDP Immersion Learning System, evaluates reading comprehension and vocabulary through regular assessments, such as Accelerated Reading (AR), Start Early Literacy, and Start Reading (SR).
  • Students can choose from our large collection of physical books as well as the myON Reader e-book Library.

 

Teaching Structure Each class will have a bilingual Korean mentor teacher who will observe the students and regularly communicate with parents about their progress.
Lesson Planning Teachers primarily follow lesson plans and instructional materials given by our staff but have the flexibility to add activities and supplementary materials.
