Key Responsibilities 1. Academic Guidance Help students set academic goals and develop effective study habits. Provide guidance on course selection, scheduling, and academic planning. Monitor academic progress and work with teachers to address any challenges. 2. Social and Emotional Support Offer individual and group counseling sessions to address personal, social, and emotional concerns. Help students develop coping strategies, resilience, and interpersonal skills. Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies. 3. Career and College Readiness Guide students in exploring career options and planning for higher education. Assist with college applications, scholarship opportunities, and resumes. Organize workshops and events such as college fairs and career days. 4. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with teachers and parents to identify and address student needs. Collaborate with external professionals and community resources when additional support is required. Serve as a liaison between the school, students, and families. 5. Development of Counseling Programs Design and implement programs that promote student well-being, such as anti-bullying campaigns, stress management workshops, and peer support initiatives. Evaluate and update counseling programs based on student needs and feedback. 6. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate and confidential student records. Prepare reports and provide data to school administrators as needed. Ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements regarding student welfare.
