Lara L Kids English Academy: ESL Teachers for Afternoon Program
1. Role and Responsibilities You will be ESL teacher for our Elementary students. Follow the premade curriculum and in-house textbooks, but also use your creativity and imagination to make the classes more fun and enjoyable for the students. You will be responsible for the following: • Teach phonics, pronunciation, and basic reading and writing skills • Follow the curriculum and lesson plans to teach the elementary students • Add your own activities to help students learn better • Meet learning goals and track student improvement • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute • Actively engage students in the learning process • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group 2. Candidate Qualifications All candidates must; • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. • Candidates must have prior work experience in a Daechi school. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Kindergarten & Elementary (Age 7 to Grade 6) • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. (1 P.M. - 8 P.M.: Prep & Lesson, 8 P.M. - 9 P.M.: Feedback & Review Session) • Teaching Hours: Average 4 classes a day, 50 minutes per class. If teachers develop their own teaching materials, average 2-3 classes a day • Class Size: Maximum 6 students per class. Students will be divided into classes by English level. • Teaching Type: Native English Teachers do not have a Korean co-teacher. • Curriculum: Curriculum provided. Lesson plans have to be written by the teachers. Teachers can also develop teaching materials (optional). • Teacher Training: Provided
