POLY Paju

Poly, established in 1999, is a language institute catering to 'returnee students' who have lived abroad and returned to Korea, as well as 'English gifted students' in Korea.

The institute offers high-quality English education to over 25,000 students with the help of over 2,000 native English-speaking instructors across 60 branches in Korea. Poly pursues an academic-centered approach to ESL within an EOP (English Only Policy) environment, based on North American textbooks (CCSS) and curriculum.

Currently, Poly’s ESL and EFL educational programs enhance their curriculum with North American Curriculum (NAC) and Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards. By leveraging generative AI, voice recognition engines, and big data, Poly has established an AI-based smart learning system. This organically integrated educational system creates new learning opportunities, aiming to grow into a global edutech company beyond Korea.

Poly's education system is optimized for the developmental stages of students from ages 5 to middle school (9th grade) and is segmented into five brands (Poly, MPoly, Magnet, CANB, mil) based on the students' age, academic level, and language proficiency.

The MPoly Yeongtong Campus operates under the MPoly brand and is located in Yeongtong District, Suwon.

What's Unique

Students' English Proficiency  Curriculum Reading- English Library
POLY students' English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities are on par with native speakers, comprised of students who have passed rigorous entrance tests.  We offer an educational curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), providing an environment similar to English-speaking countries for learning and speaking English.   The foundation of Poly's education lies in "reading," utilizing a library stocked with tens of thousands of books and the world-renowned reading guidance program, Accelerated Reader.

What we do

POLY optimizes North American education to fit the Korean context, fostering a holistic development from character to creativity within an environment that is 100% English-immersive. We tailor our learning spaces to the individual needs and growth of students, diversifying and segmenting our academy spaces while ensuring safety and health through customized designs.

Just like Poly's slogan, "Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow," we provide education and opportunities for students to successfully pursue their individual dreams and grow into true leaders in a larger world, as below; with a strong foundation in "Reading."

  • Creative and wise thinkers
  • Innovative problem solvers through in-depth analysis
  • Global leaders who will lead the next generation
  • Proficient users of both languages
  • Convergent talents equipped with empathy and respect

MPOLY Curriculum/Program

The 'GRAD PROGRAM' at MPoly is designed for students from 4th grade to 9th grade, providing a curriculum based on CCSS that also perfectly prepares them for the Korean entrance exams. This program focuses on intensive 'debate classes' to cultivate academically excellent and leadership-equipped individuals.

1. The 'GRAD PROGRAM' at MPoly systematically develops language proficiency through four stages: Honors, Leaders, Masters, and Elites, according to age and academic level.

  • Honors enhances reading comprehension and critical thinking, and strengthens logical debate and writing skills, aiming to prepare students for admission to international middle schools and international schools in Korea.
  • Leaders expands academic perspectives, advances debate and writing skills, and improves information analysis and critical thinking abilities to enhance test-taking skills.
  • Masters to Elites focus on the ability to produce outputs using specialized knowledge and maintain top-level English proficiency for the Korean SAT, aiming to prepare students for admission to prestigious high schools such as foreign language high schools and science high schools in Korea.

2. With over 25 years of accumulated big data, Poly's reading education provides a systematic process for continuous and in-depth learning, from diagnosing reading ability to checking comprehension.

3. Poly's 25 years of educational expertise and AI technology have created a big data-based smart learning integrated system, realizing hyper-personalized complete learning.

1. Teacher Support

POLY's teachers are stepping into new environments and education systems in a new world. While this journey can be adventurous and bring trial and error, we invest in our Research & Development (R&D) and IT departments, accounting for about 65% of our entire headquarters staff, to develop structured curriculum frameworks and teaching methods, ensuring that no obstacles arise.

This allows POLY teachers to focus solely on delivering high-quality, consistent education methods, and above all, supports them in advancing their careers and achieving their goals.

2. Salary and Benefits

We prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of our teachers, striving to provide fair compensation and support for their roles.
