What's Unique

Students' English Proficiency  Curriculum  Reading- English Library
POLY students' English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities are on par with native speakers, comprised of students who have passed rigorous entrance tests. We offer an educational curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), providing an environment similar to English-speaking countries for learning and speaking English. The foundation of Poly's education lies in "reading," utilizing a library stocked with tens of thousands of books and the world-renowned reading guidance program, Accelerated Reader.

POLY is now enhancing its curriculum based on North American Curriculum (NAC) and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), while building an AI-based smart learning system that integrates generative AI, voice recognition engines, big data, and other technologies. We aim to create new educational opportunities and aspire to grow into a global EduTech company beyond South Korea.

What we do

POLY optimizes North American education to fit the Korean context, fostering a holistic development from character to creativity within an environment that is 100% English-immersive. We tailor our learning spaces to the individual needs and growth of students, diversifying and segmenting our academy spaces while ensuring safety and health through customized designs.

Furthermore, we provide education and opportunities for students to progress successfully towards their dreams, nurturing them to become true leaders in a larger world.

  • Creative and wise thinkers
  • Innovative problem solvers through in-depth analysis
  • Global leaders who will lead the next generation
  • Proficient users of both languages
  • Convergent talents equipped with empathy and respect

POLY Curriculum/Program

POLY’s North American education-based system, optimized for the developmental stages from age 5 to 9th grade, nurtures students into global leaders with bilingual proficiency through independent thinking, communication, collaboration, and debate classes.

1. Language proficiency is systematically developed through three stages: ECP, ELE, and GRAD.

  • ECP (Early Childhood Program) for ages 5-7: Enhances basic language acquisition, independent reading skills, and fluent, developed expression to improve English usage abilities.
  • ELE (Elementary Program) for grades 1-3: Improves reading skills, vocabulary, and critical thinking through integrated learning by subject, fostering growth in knowledge and confidence as bilingual individuals.
  • GRAD (Graduate Program) for grades 4-9: Maximizes advanced language performance through focused classes on fiction and nonfiction, academic vocabulary, and more.

2. Additionally, POLY offers continuous and in-depth learning through a systematic process based on over 25 years of accumulated big data in reading education, from diagnosing reading ability to checking comprehension.

3. Poly’s 25 years of educational expertise and AI technology have created a big data-based smart learning integrated system, achieving highly personalized complete learning.

POLY has been innovating and revolutionizing education in Korea by adapting North American education to the Korean educational environment and systematizing creative and character education based on advanced reading guidance. Moreover, we strive to provide the best learning environment for children so that learning at POLY is a source of pride.

The students at POLY are unique, and these exceptional individuals require excellent educational professionals. POLY comprises an education specialist group consisting of the most perfect educators.

Real teachers who find joy in teaching, learning, and growing alongside children create the education at POLY.

1. Teacher Support

POLY's teachers are stepping into new environments and education systems in a new world. While this journey can be adventurous and bring trial and error, we invest in our Research & Development (R&D) and IT departments, accounting for about 65% of our entire headquarters staff, to develop structured curriculum frameworks and teaching methods, ensuring that no obstacles arise.

This allows POLY teachers to focus solely on delivering high-quality, consistent education methods, and above all, supports them in advancing their careers and achieving their goals.

2. Salary and Benefits

We prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of our teachers, striving to provide fair compensation and support for their roles.

3. Qualifications for Teacher Recruitment

As POLY customizes the North American curriculum to fit the Korean educational environment, most of our teachers are from the United States or Canada. Teachers from other countries also possess rich experience or a deep understanding of the North American curriculum, coupled with a strong passion and commitment.

Teachers should emphasize understanding, creativity, and critical thinking, actively encouraging student participation in classes to ensure they can confidently navigate using English in their daily lives.

Moreover, they must comply with visa and work permit conditions under South Korean law.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Authenticated degree certificate and criminal record check
  • Good physical health

4. Recruitment Process and Application Method for Teachers

POLY hires approximately 300 teachers annually across its 60 branches. We recruit teachers continuously due to the expansion of our academies and vacancies, so you can apply at any time. However, we typically fill most positions around the start of the March  semester.
