Welcome to RISE Bundang!

At RISE Bundang, we don’t just teach—we ignite a love for learning through exploration and creativity! We bring language to life with cooking and creative projects that offer practical learning opportunities. Our play-based curriculum helps children build vocabulary, social skills, and curiosity in an immersive, playful setting.

Alongside language learning, we place great importance on the care we give our students. Every lesson and activity is backed by a dedicated team of teachers who support each child’s growth. Our campus is directly managed by RISE headquarters, which means that our teachers receive the utmost care and support from our dedicated team.

Our Curriculum and Programs

Our curriculum is designed to make English both accessible and enjoyable to young learners. Through engaging activities like story time and movie time, students naturally build listening skills and develop strong comprehension. Opportunities for speaking, from classroom Show & Tell to national speech contests, help students gain confidence and express themselves in English. To reinforce daily learning, our campus also offers a dedicated homework class where students review and practice what they’ve learned in class.

Our RISE K program emphasizes language development, critical thinking, and creativity by blending structured academic lessons with interactive activities.

Textbooks & Resources:

  • Our curriculum includes Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Journeys and custom RISE WISE workbooks created by our R&D team.

Blended Learning - RISE On e-learning:

  • With RISE-On, students can revisit lessons and evaluate their progress through our AI-enhanced system.

Teaching Structure Native teachers conduct lessons with the support of a Korean bilingual teacher.  For our 5-year-old class, an additional care assistant helps manage the students. Our Korean teachers also communicate with parents.
Lesson Planning Teachers follow a set curriculum with pre-made lesson plans.

In RISE Quest for Self-Discovery (QSD), we help students build confidence in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creative thinking through group presentations and story writing.

Foundation Program (FP): For new learners of English.

Exploration Program (EP): For RISE K graduates, aligned with the American curriculum.

Employment

Work Environment & Teacher Expectations

Our collaborative environment welcomes experienced professionals and passionate newcomers alike. We look for teachers who bring creativity, energy, and a can-do attitude to the classroom—people who truly enjoy working with kids and making learning fun.  Most of our native English-speaking teachers come from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., but we welcome any native speaker with a passion for teaching young learners. New teachers must complete a day of online training along with on-site training.

Reasons to Work at RISE Bundang

  • Central Support from RISE Headquarters: RISE offers full support from our headquarters, guiding teachers through every step—from hiring and visa processing to training, onboarding, and housing. Our team is always available to help with any challenges that may come up along the way.
  • Comprehensive Curriculum and Teacher Support: Teachers work from a standardized curriculum with all lessons and teaching materials planned, eliminating the need for prep work.
  • Work-Life Balance: Teachers enjoy clear work hours, paid vacation, and breaks to recharge.

Key Considerations

  • Our campus is situated in a densely populated industrial area, just a five-minute walk from Jeongja Station and the renowned Jeongja-dong Café Street.
  • Teachers must enjoy teaching children and be capable of adjusting lessons to their pace and level.

Hiring Period & Procedure

  • Our doors are always open to great teachers! While we focus on hiring before our March and September semesters, we welcome applications anytime.

  • Hiring at RISE starts at HQ! David Moon, the Head of Recruiting and R&D, and his team will guide the process, from application review to a filmed interview, which we use to finalize hiring decisions.
