American STEM Prep is an institution dedicated to educating students in the STEM field.  Our curriculum is based on the Common Core Standards from the United States and we have daily Engineering and Technology classes for all grade levels.  We currently offer grades 1st-11th with continued yearly expansion up to 12th grade.  We take a whole child approach to teaching and not only teach our students academic skills but also, social and emotional learning skills so that they are well prepared for whatever challenges they may face in the future.  In early 2024 we received Cognia Accreditation and a specialized Cognia STEM Certification, making ASP part of an elite number of schools worldwide that have been recognized for such an accomplishment.

Elementary Homeroom with emphasis in math or science instruction

American STEM Prep. located in the Gwanggyo neighborhood is looking for full-time Elementary Homeroom teachers for the current 2026-27 school year. The homeroom teacher will develop and deliver engaging lessons using American curriculum and California standards (Common Core). They will be in charge of teaching the core subject areas. Experience managing a positive and inclusive classroom environment that is conducive to learning as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of all students is essential. The successful candidate will assess student performance through various means, including observation, participation, and skill demonstrations, and provide constructive feedback to support student growth. Teachers are expected to communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding progress, upcoming events, and any concerns related to student health or well-being. Apart from daily classes, the teacher is expected to support, lead, and guide extracurricular activities such as clubs or tutoring programs to help promote a well-rounded education. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the Science field, Elementary/Secondary Education, or related field preferred. State certification or eligibility for certification. Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students in a teaching or coaching capacity. Strong knowledge of math principles. Experience working with second language learners from diverse backgrounds Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders.
