Location Description

 

Gwangmyeong is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It borders Seoul to the east, north, and northeast, Anyang to the southeast, Siheung to the southwest, and Bucheon to the northeast. Gwangmyeong is home to one of the world's largest IKEA stores at 59,000 square meters (640,000 square feet), along with a large Costco store and a Lotte Premium Outlet.

 

Since Gwangmyeong is a commuter town bordering Seoul, it's mostly a residential area. The northwestern part of Gwangmyeong is mostly composed of low-storeyed detached houses, while the eastern part, namely Cheolsan-dong and Haan-dong, consists of high-storeyed apartment complexes. Gwangmyeong has many modes of accessible transportation available. Seoul Subway lines 1 and 7 service the area, along with a KTX station and numerous buses and taxis.

Afternoon English Teacher Wanted at Debbies Language Institute in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do / April 2023

1. Role and Responsibilities You will be an English teacher for our Elementary and Middle school students in the afternoon. Follow the premade curriculum, but also use your creativity and imagination to make the classes more fun and enjoyable for the students. You will be responsible for the following: • Teach basic to advanced English reading, writing, speaking, and listening • Actively engage students in the learning process. • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students. • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group. • Offer support and flexibility as needed. • Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process. • Participate in professional development activities that are aligned with the assigned curriculum and the varied needs of students •Grade homework and give feedback 2. Candidate Qualifications All candidates must; • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Elementary and Middle • Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided. • Working Hours: Monday & Friday, 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday & Thursday, 2:00 P.M. - 7:40 P.M. Wednesday, 2:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. • Teacher Training: Provided
