About Us

Korea's only English Montessori preschool where language and culture are learned within a natural English - speaking environment. We are devoted to developing the children's innate, exemplary character which will enable them to overcome the world and make it a better place.
 

Founded in 2008, Kids Of the Nations International School (KONIS) strives to develop independent, noble, and caring young leaders. Through the Montessori education philosophy and Christian faith, we focus our efforts on nurturing the child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect. We are confident students will live our vision from the minute they enter our school throughout their adult lives.

KONIS classrooms are thoughtfully designed to offer children opportunities to develop their own capabilities, whether it is learning how to dress themselves independently, multiply a multi-digit equation, communicate their needs effectively, or problem-solve with others. Each classroom is filled with developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children to interact with specific learning materials, as well as to work cooperatively with others.

Program

We believe that nature plays an important role in the development of children; therefore we extended our classrooms to the outside. We have two outdoor parks for children to connect themselves with the environment, and a rooftop garden where children plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables for our in-house kitchen.

School day at KONIS starts at 9:30am and finishes at 3:00pm for students. We provide extended program in crafts, culinary arts, Korean language, music and more from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
