GCIS is seeking Educators for our upcoming 2025-2026 Winter camp! Camp Dates: January 6th, 2025-February 21st, 2025. (6 Weeks!)

Winter Camp Information

  • Name: GCIS English Winter Camp!

  • Student Target: Students from public and private schools (pre-primary, elementary school to elementary school in 1st and 2nd grades)

  • Duration: January 6. 2025 ~ February 21. 2025 (6 Weeks)

  • Time: 9:00 am-4:00 pm

  •  Location: Dongtan (137, Oesammi-ro, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea)

  • Classes: Up to 5 classes per day (40min classes)

Program Introduction

  • GCIS Winter Camp offers an American curriculum education experience with a focus on English immersion. It is designed to enhance creativity, and athletic ability through special courses (sports, orchestra, STEM, Spanish, Japanese, and musical), as well as the four core subjects of language, mathematics, science, and society.)

  • The entire subject uses Project-Based Learning (PBL). Instead of simply memorizing learning methods, they participate in team projects that deal with important environmental issues, computer engineering, and race issues.

  • Students can deepen their understanding of CCSS education by experiencing the GCIS winter camp. In addition, they achieve self-directed learning by developing social skills and competing in good faith through teamwork among participants.

Responsibilities Overview

  • Follow Winter camp curriculum/program and expectations provided by GCIS to follow syllabus, unit plans, rubrics, and lesson plans for students

  • Identify and gather materials needed for activities, including educational supplies, crafts, and snacks.

  • Provide end of Winter camp reports/feedback

  • Ensure that students are supervised at all times during activities, transitions, and free play.

  • Ensure and support students to complete their camp projects and ensure student learning

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging participation and collaboration among students

  • Attend and participate in Winter Camp training and meetings as needed
